RE: Indigenous People's Opposition to Celebration and Glorification of
Colonial Pirate Christopher Columbus

As we enter the new Millennium on October 9 or 12, 2000, the settler governments and peoples of North, Central and South America, who occupy the lands of various Indigenous nations of peoples, will again celebrate with holiday parades and festivals the invasion of our sacred lands by the colonial pirate Christopher Columbus.
Columbus was the beginning of the American holocaust, ethnic cleansing characterized by murder, torture, raping, pillaging, robbery, slavery, kidnapping, and forced removals of Indian people from their homelands.
To our Italian American friends, we say that to celebrate the legacy of this murderer is an affront to all Indian peoples, and others who truly understand this history. It would be the same as if German people would celebrate and glorify Adolf Hitler and the rise of fascism, and the Nazi holocaust by holding parades through the Jewish communities of America and throughout the world.
We unequivocally support the right of Indian peoples of all the Americas along with friends and supporters to peacefully hold demonstrations and vigils, and exercise firm and resolute civil disobedience against any groups, religious, other organizations, and governments who continue to insist on celebrating and glorifying the murderous Columbus with parades, festivals, and celebrations.
In order to end the Columbus legacy we call on the Congress of the United States to repudiate the Columbus legacy by eliminating the Columbus holiday by following the lead of states such as Louisiana, and South Dakota who declare October 12th each year honoring American Indians. American Indians gave you your spiritual, cultural, social, economic, and political freedom and sanctuary.
The legacy of Columbus continues against the original people of all of the Americas, north, south and central. At this time, murderous acts against the people of Guatemala are fresh in mind. On Thursday, march 10, 1999 speaking in Guatemala City, President Clinton expressed regret for the United State's role in Guatemala's 36-year Civil War saying:
"Washington was wrong to have supported Guatemala Security Forces in a brutal counter-insurgency campaign that slaughtered thousands of civilians." He went on to say, "It is important that I state clearly that support for military forces or intelligence units who engaged in violent and widespread repression of the kind described in the report of the Historical Clarification Commission was wrong." Clinton said, reading carefully from handwritten notes, "And the United States must not repeat that mistake."
It is because of United States' support for a series of military death-squad governments in Guatemala that, at least, 150,000 Mayan Indians and tens of thousands other Guatemalan civilians lost their lives. At least 467 villages have disappeared. Men, women, and children have been brutalized, tortured, raped, mutilated, and buried in mass graves throughout the countryside in Guatemala in the past fifteen (15) years alone.
We call on all governments and peoples of goodwill worldwide to give support to the lawsuit filed in Spain by Rigoberta Menchu Tum the 1992 Nobel Peace Prize Laureate, and the Alliance Against Impunity, calling for the arrest and prosecution of Efrain Rios Mont. Mont was one of several leaders of the brutal death squad governments of Guatemala who ordered the attack on the Spanish Embassy in Guatemala City, which caused the incendiary burning to death of more than thirty (30) Mayan Indian peaceful protestors, including the father of Rigoberta Menchu, and Spanish embassy staff. Additionally, Rios Mont was responsible for the murders of tens of thousands of civilians, the vast majority of which were Mayan Indians.
We call on Amnesty International, the International Indian Treaty Council (IITC), the Working Group on Indigenous People to move the United Nations Commission on Human Rights, and all appropriate United Nations organs at the highest level to launch an immediate investigation as to the role of the United States.
We are calling on the World Court, the Permanent United Nations War Crimes Tribunal to investigate and bring to trial the political and military leaders of the death squad governments of Guatemala and the United States CIA, military, political, and business leaders, who are complicit in what is clearly ethnic cleansing, war crimes, and crimes against humanity.
We call on the Boston-based Physicians for Human Rights who were doing forensic investigations of mass graves in Bosnia and Kosovo to come to Guatemala to examine all the mass graves in Guatemala, which hold as many as 200,000 to 300,000 civilian victims.
We are not so naïve to expect that the United States Senate would investigate itself since past and present Senate and House Intelligence and Foreign Relations Committee Members are aware of these war crimes, which makes them complicit and culpable. Nonetheless, it is their duty to the American people, and to the suffering people, and those in mass graves throughout the countryside of Guatemala.
In defense to charges of crimes against humanity and other war crimes, German military officers, political leaders, industrialists, and the German people, during their trial before the Nuremberg War Crimes Tribunal, defended themselves by saying, "As subordinates, we were only following orders." The German people plead innocent for reasons of ignorance by declaring that, "We did not know what was going on in the concentration camps."
Justice Robert Jackson of the United States Supreme Court, who was the lead American Prosecutor at the Nuremberg War Crimes Tribunal challenged their defense in these words:
"If certain acts and violations of treaties are crimes, they are crimes whether Germany commits them, or whether the United States commits them. We are not prepared to impose a code of criminal conduct against others that we would not be willing to have invoked against us."
William Jefferson Clinton and Madeline Albright, who were preaching morality to the Serbs in Bosnia and Kosovo, Yugoslavia, East Timor and to the Chinese about their human rights violations, must now direct their full attention to what will prove to be United States government complicity in this continuing American holocaust. Along with the death-squad governments of Guatemala, they must be held to the standard set by Justice Robert Jackson.

Fifty Years Of Drug Trafficking By CIA and Other Government Operations

The exposure actions of that agent sought to expose, among other areas, the corruption within the FAA that insured the success of the September 11, 2001, terrorists, prior fatal hijackings, and a number of prior fraud-related airline disasters--including the prior United Airlines crash into New York City. Evidence Of CIA Drug Trafficking
Stich had been gathering information on CIA drug trafficking for decades. He first encountered these activities while he was an airline captain flying for Japan Airlines out of Tokyo and also out of Beirut, Baghdad and other Middle East locations in the early 1950s. While talking to other pilots and in normal pilot-to-pilot conversations, many pilots described to him that they were flying for CIA-related operations and airlines and hauling drugs. They made no big deal out of it; it was simply another job for which pilots were increasingly involved. These pilots included those who flew for Air America, Civil Air Transport, and other covert CIA operations.
Over the next four decades Stich continued to receive information about the CIA drug trafficking from pilots who actually flew the drugs. Some of these pilots were from covert CIA airlines including Air America, and some of them came to work for the same airline that he worked for. These pilots had no agenda or reason to fabricate these comments to their fellow pilots. They were speaking the truth.
During the past ten years Stich developed many sources in the CIA and DEA who had direct knowledge of the CIA drug trafficking. He learned that it wasn't only the CIA involved in these criminal activities. The drug trafficking included the CIA, DEA, the military, the State Department, the White House's National Security Council, among others. Thousands of hours of often deposition-like questioning was involved
These activities are detailed and documented in the third edition, hard cover book, Defrauding America, and the first edition of Drugging America. Example of his many sources who are listed in the book are:
FBI Special Agent who repeatedly reported CIA drug trafficking to his supervisors and to FBI Director William Sessions, and to Congress. Some of these drug activities were funding terrorist cells based in New Jersey and New York. Justice Department personnel retaliated against him for reporting these matters and falsely charged him with a federal offense (once using a government credit card to refuel his personal automobile being used on government business), and then having New York state prosecutors charge him with offenses involving boys. The extraordinary 80-year sentence insured that his exposure actions would be silenced and that he would be discredited. Paradoxically, the terrorists who crashed an American and United Boeing 767 into the World Trade Center are believed to have received some of their funding and/or assistance from the New Jersey and New York terrorist cells that were previously protected by Justice Department personnel (and a former New York City mayor). Another example of "blowback."
Former head of a CIA proprietary airline for over a decade, who described in great detail the drugs that he carried for the CIA, how the CIA set up his airline, how the CIA funded the operation, how the CIA armed terrorists, including the IRA.
Former head of a large CIA financial operation based in Hawaii who had provided Stich with a great amount of data and documentation. He provided information concerning how the CIA and FBI, in Los Angeles in 1995, refused the offer of several dozen surface-to-air missiles offered to the United States at no charge by Afghan General Rashid Dostum, thereby permitting the missiles to be acquired by Afghan terrorists.
CIA operatives who operated covert CIA financial institutions, describing the looting of the HUD program, the savings and loans, and other financial scams.
Many pilots who flew drugs for the CIA and DEA, who gave Stich hundreds of hours of specific details of these operations, including maps.

Importance of Recognizing the Co-Conspirators
To fight the involvement of high-level government personnel in drug smuggling it is important that those people who aided and abetted the felonies by cover-ups be recognized. It is a crime for anyone who hears or discovers information of a possible federal crime not to promptly report it as required by the federal crime reporting statute. Anyone who blocks the reporting of a possible federal crime, or who fails to promptly report the possible crime, is guilty of a felony under federal obstruction of justice laws.

Pattern Of Retaliation Against Whistleblowers By Justice Department Lawyers and Federal Judges
In order to keep the information of drug smuggling into the United States by people acting under government cover many forms of cover-ups were needed. These included the misuse of the Justice Department to prosecute whistleblowers, the cover-ups by members of Congress, the control of the media by CIA funding and CIA plants, and literally subverting the constitutional checks and balances.
With thousands of people aware of these corrupt activities, and most of the public being unaware of them--partly out of their own determined state of denial--accolades must be given to the success of the obstruction of justice tactics.
The book, Defrauding America, reveals how Justice Department prosecutors and federal judges (many of whom are former Justice Department lawyers) act together to indict and convict federal agents who were trying to expose criminal activities in government operations. False charges can easily be filed against any government agent, perjured testimony obtained, evidence can be planted, and then rely upon the naiveté of the average juror who believes almost anything the government prosecutor says.
Judges will bar the critical testimony, bar the admission of critical documents, and engage in tactics that make a mockery of the idea of justice for all.

In his follow-up letter, Lt. Tan states flatly that the massacre occurred. Much of his information had been supplied by members of the VCI (the NLF shadow government). What is also interesting to note in this letter is the mention of a significant number of guerillas and self-defence troops listed as wounded. See also Tan's earlier letter of March 28.

SUBJECT: Allied Operation at Son My assembled and killed civilians
On 16 March 1968 an American Army unit conducted a mopping-up operation at Tu Cung and Co Luy hamlets of Son My Village, Son Tinh District. At about 10 o'clock on the above day, the American unit encountered a VC mine and recieved fire from Tu Cung hamlet. One American soldier was killed and a number of others were wounded.
In response, the operational forces attacked the village, assembled the people and shot and killed more than 400 people at Tu Cong hamlet, and 90 more in the Co Luy hamlet of Son My Village. While the VC were withdrawing from the hamlet, 48 VC and more than 52 guerillas and self defense soldiers were wounded by helicopter gun ships.
Subsector comments:
Tu Cung and Co Luy are two areas of Son My Village that have long been held by the VC. The district forces lack the capability of entering the area. Therefore, allied units frequently conduct mop-up operations and bombing attacks freely in the area. But the basic position of the report of the Son My village committee is that although the VC cannot be held blameless for their actions in the 16 March 1968 operation, the Americans in anger killed too many civilians. Only one American was killed by the VC, however the allies killed near 500 civilians in retaliation.
Really an atrocious attitude if it cannot be called an act of insane violence. Request than you intervene on the behalf of the people.

Imperialist Cleansing
The semantic invention of the formula "ehtnic cleansing" has allowed the imperialists to mount all kinds of provocations, manipulate reality, provoke confrontations, create "made in the CIA" guerrilla movements, intoxicate public opinion, repeating slogans to the point of saturation in the way the Nazis did, concoct images, and to blame their own massacres on a previously demonised enemy, particularly in the Balkans.
All this in order to push foward their imperialist war of aggression and extermination against nations because of economic, strategic or political reasons which they try to cover up in every way.
In order not to go on at too much length, we will pick out just five of the imperialist nations which are taking part in the incalculable crimes against Yugoslavia, including Kosovo: The USA, Britain, Germany, France and Spain. Historically, these are five good examples, which have carried out the most horible racist crimes known to history.
The more racist and criminal they have been, the more hypocrisy they show. Each one of these powers has carried out some of the greatest genocides committed in the whole of history, which constitute the greatest examples of "ethnic cleansing" that humanity has ever undergone. The consquences of the blood cleansing of the Inquisition, with its tortures, crimes, robbery and mass expulsions of Jews and Arabs, are still felt today. But ethnic cleansing is, and has always been, an excuse, a racist ideological fabrication in order to achieve economic ends, fundamentally dedicated to wars, to new genocides, and new conquests.
The conquest of the Americas and the extermination of the native population was not financed by the jewels of Queen Isabel, but rather through the gold stolen from the Jews by the Catholic Kings, in the same way that the jewelery and gold teeth of the Jews of the Holocaust went to pay for the fuel for the "Panzers" and the airforce of Hitlers army.
The history of the British empire is the history of a sustained genocide which was carried out over centuries against races which they considered to be inferior to themselves. And the USA and human rights? There is not a single human right in that country which is not vilated on a massive scale every day, above all against American Indians, Blacks and Latin Americans. The Death Rows in the gringo jails are a cruel and flagrant example of "ethnic cleansing" through the most convenient method after long years of physical and psychological torture.
What does Spain carry out every day in the Straits of Gibraltar if not imperialist tasks of "ethnic cleanising" on behalf of the old racist, colonialist and imperialist Europe.
And what has Spain been doing since the year of 1936 in the Basque Country torturing, imprisoning and shooting or assassinating the sons and daughters of the Basque people for the sole reason that they want freedom and independence? Today there are more than 800 Basque political prisoners in Spanish jails, some having already served more than 20 years, with the majority being at the other end of the peninsular, in inuman conditions while their families and friends are obliged to make long and exhausting journeys in order to visit them.
Is this not ethnic cleansing and the violation of all human rights and all the rights of a people?
Why does Spain support the Kosovar "guerrilla" created by the CIA and well known in Eastern Europe and the Middle East as a group of drug dealers and white slavery? (see the Spanish magazine, Tiempo, of February 23, 1999).
Recently very reliable Algerian sources of information claimed that Afghan Talibans are providing military and religious instructors as well as arms supplies to the "guerrilla" of Kosovo, adding (and this is confirmed by numerous correspondents of the European press) that Albania has been converted into an international centre of islamic fundamentalism, drug and vice mafias and the traffic of armsin exchange for heroin, all with the blessing of the yankees and their Nato.
Who raised their voice against the massive crimes of the Algerian military junta which is supported by the yankees and the French, when it drowned the democratic process in blood in 1991, provoking a long, dirty and cruel war which has cost more than 100,000 lives and more than 20,000 disappeared? Who said anything when just a few days ago they withdrew all the candidates in the presidential elections, and the military junta's candidate was elected "unanimously" in a new and blatant electoral fraud? Of course, since Algerian oil and gas have been securedfor Europe through a transational which holds 80 per cent ofthe stake in the Algerian companies which exploit this resource, the imperialists have nothing to fear. Besids, Algeria is complying with the IMF and social and political cleansing in the countryside, in order to facilitate cheap labour power needed by future industries.
In this area, the history of France, linked to massacres in Algeria and in all the dominions and colonies which it has had, is as bad as any.
And we won't mention anything about the racist past and present of the other members of this distinguished international fascist club known as Nato.
For its part, the Turkish airforce, which belongs to Nato, is continuing inthese days to bombard Kurdish refugee camps in those zones through which the yankee-German oil and gas pipeline, which comes from Baku, will pass, while the ground forces are systemmatically completing the ethnic and political cleansing of the Kurds with the support and the apllause of the US and Nato.
These imperialists, when they had the Balkans - an area which is so well appreciated by the yankees and the Germans because of its economic and military strategic position - within their reach at the end of the 1980s, plotted and used all means in order to destabilise, break up and divide the Yugoslav Federation, which was an example of peaceful co- existence of different cultures and ethnic and religious groups.
They employed all the old, well-known tactics, manipulations and provocations used by the Nato powers in their long colonialist and imperialist histories, which the advantage this time of moving together under the single and unquestionable command of the yankee imperialists, masters of these criminal and genocidal methods. The ones who are really responsible for carrying out ethnic cleansing in the Balkans are the USA and Nato. The greatest cleansing they have carried out, and which they are continuing with, is the one directed against the Serbs, and they have carried out other criminal acts of cleansing, including the one being carried out at this time against the people of Kosovo. With the bombings, they are razing Kosovo to the ground, with the aim of provoking a mass exodus in terrible conditions in order then to pass off the images of their own crimes as an act of "ethnic cleanising" by the Serbs.
But they have unmasked themselves, bombarding with missiles five Kosovar-Albanian columns which did not want to stay in Albania and which were returning to Yugoslavia. The Kosovar-Albanians are just as much victims of the USA and Nato as the Serbs. And the Kosovar "guerrilla", formed by the CIA and other services with the Albanian mafia involved in drug trafficking and white slavery, have from the first day been the instrument of the USA and Nato. More than one European newspaper and magazine have denounced them, giving all kinds of evidence. Interpol has admitted that the "Albanians from Kosovo who make up the "guerrilla" control the greaterpart of the heroin trade - approximately 80 per cent - in Swutzerland, Austria, Germany, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Norway, Poland and Belgium." This is the reality, which for certain contains nothing new, as this is what imperialism has been doing all over the world from the moment it emerged.
In this affair no-one is innocent: Clinton, Blair, Schroeder, D'Alema, Jospin, Aznar, Clark and their errand boy Solana, etc ... know full well what is happening over there since they occipued Albania last year and isolated it from the world for some months.
And they know very well that they have invented and are directing the third way: that of those who are ambiguous, neutral, the double- crossers, in short those who have as their slogan: "Neither Nato nor Milosevic! They constitute the imperialists rearguard, those who cover for their criminal aggression, all in "good faith". This third way is committing a war crimes as the accomplice of imperialist aggression when they take as genuine the false argument about "ethnic cleansing", fabricated by the aggressors in order to justify their constant 24 hours a day war crimes before global public opinion. And those who allow themselves to be pulled by this third way ought to think about the damage that they are doing to the anti-imperialist cause and the benefit they are giving to the criminal policies of these monsters.
48 hours ago the USA-Nato fascist international said that "this war will be a long, difficult and dirty war."
When an international people's tribunal judges them, none of them will be able to claim ignorance, nor that they "had to obey". In each case, they have already secured their place in history on the side of the great tyranies and genocides.
Hypocritical criminals who spout on about "ethnic cleansing" while they launched tons and tons of bombs and missiles armed with depleted, but highly radio-active uranium against people who will not surrender to their imperial designs, and also against people they say they are going to liberate!
Is the death of millions of children in the third world through lack of food, medicines, through imperialist embargoes and aggression not the greatest ethnic cleansing in the history of humanity?
They are the men of war, responsible for massive genocides and all acts of ethnic, political and social cleansing that there have been and which there are today all over the world since the start of the capitalist system and above all since the development of imperialism.
There is only one guilty party: imperialism.
There is only one fundamental task: to get rid of it.
There are no third ways! The third way is the shield of imperialism!
